==Biography==
Michaela "Mickey" Shiloh is a multi-platinum songwriter and artist. Born in San Mateo, California to teenage parents, she was constantly surrounded by hip-hop throughout her childhood. Following in the footsteps of her father, an aspiring rapper, Mickey began writing her own raps at the age of 8. By 15, she had taught herself to record and mix her own songs and signed her first publishing deal to multi-platinum producer Chad Beatz of Tastemaker Music. Mickey worked with Chad for two years and got her first major placement with rap artist Twista. During the summer before her junior year of high school, Mickey was introduced to Grammy Award-winning producer Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins through fellow artist and friend, Jon Asher. At 17 she signed to Jerkins and landed her first number one (on the ''Billboard'' Dance Charts) with Janet Jackson's "Make Me". After graduating high school Mickey moved to Los Angeles and worked with major artists like Jennifer Lopez, Shontelle, Britney Spears, Pitbull (rapper), Ray J and many others, all while attending the University of Southern California. During this time she also wrote songs for the soundtrack of the Nickelodeon movie Rags (film) and released her first mixtape, Dear Future. After becoming overwhelmed by the reality of balancing school and a music career, Mickey took a leave of absence from USC during her sophomore year and returned to the Bay Area for 8 months. In the spring of 2012, Mickey moved back to Los Angeles newly inspired and has since continued her songwriting and artistry full-time.
